Pitso Mosimane’s future at Al Ahly has been in Limbo, following several club legends asking for the sacking of Jingles publicly. On Sunday Jingles and Al Ahly’s management had a crucial meeting concerning the future of Pitso at the Egyptian Giants. The Executive Director of Al Ahly, Said Shalaby had insisted that Mosimane “will stay” and there are “no disputes”.
24 hours later things took another turn as the Egyptian Giant made a shocking announcement about the departure of Mosimane. Mosimane joined the Egyptian Giants in 2020 Mosimane following his resignation at Mamelodi Sundowns. Mosimane has been breaking records left and right since his arrival in Cairo in October 2020 to take over from the departed René Weiler.
Under his guidance, Al Ahly won back-to-back CAF Champions League titles, two CAF Super Cups, the Egypt Cup, and two Club World Cup bronze medals. Overall he led Al Ahly in 83 games, winning 59, drawing 17, while losing seven, with the team scoring 182 goals while conceding 70.
