Award-winning Rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes has been shot and killed alongside his friend who happens to be his former manager in Durban.

AKA had been in eThekwini for a performance on Friday night and a footage posted on Instagram showed jovial scenes as the rapper toasted with a table full of friends.

KwaZulu-Natal police says the multi-award winner and his bodyguard were leaving a restaurant on Florida Road when the suspects opened fire on them. SuperMega was just 35 at the time of his untimely passing.Two murder dockets are being investigated.

The renowned musician is known for hits like Fela in Versace, Composure and Run Jozi. He’d won many accolades throughout his career, including Best Male Artist Award at the SA Music Awards in 2012. He was nominated for Best International Act twice at the BET Awards.
