Tigres UANL in the Liga MX Femenil in Mexico has unveiled Banyana Banyana Midfielder Noxolo Cesane as one of their reinforcement from Stade Reims following the departure of Uchenna Kanu.
This comes after a few months she penned a one-year deal with an option to renew with the French club, Stade de Reims. However, she’s decided to make a Mexican switch as she’s been struggling for game time at Reims, as she only featured in seven matches with no goals or assists since.
The 22-year-old joins Tigres in search of more game-time to increase her chances of being selected in the senior national team ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup later this year.
“This player also plays on the wings and has virtues such as speed and face that make her hiring an attractive piece,” said Tigres clubs president Mauricio Culebro.
The 22-year-old also took it to her twitter account to express her delight to join the Mexican side :
