Romelu Lukaku scored brace as Chelsea met Aston Villa in the  premier league clash at Stamford bridge to inspire the blues to their 600th win in the premier league.

Chelsea becomes the second ever team to reach 600 wins in the premier league after defeating Aston villa in their first match, after the international break. The blues started the match like a house on fire as they put much pressure on the villa team .

Chelsea efforts were rewarded with a goal in the 15th minute as their danger man Romelu Lukaku found the back of the net. The blues went into the half time break leading Villa by one goal.

In the second half they continued where they left off as Mateo Kovacic doubled the blues lead to make it 2 – 0 for the home side.

Lukaku made the score line 3 – 0 in the referees added minutes and secured his brace of goals in the match. Lukaku efforts earned him man of the match accolade.

The blues are joined top of the table premier league leaders with Manchester United after four matches in the 2021/22 season. Both teams have 10 points each, with the same goal difference.
