The Department of Home Affairs is planning to make things easy for South Africans and those that live in the country.

He also said that there would now be online system for things such as identity documents and passports which would provide dates and time for collection among other services
“All those services that are not urgent, you must make sure that you make a booking and then in the future we will only take walk-ins who will be dealing with birth certificates and death certificates so that we do not have a line when you come in,” said Nzuza.
Minister Motsoaledi also said that they are planning to work with banks. “The issue of long queues gives us sleepless nights. Nobody likes to queue. One of the interventions we are making is to work with banks to stabilize our IT networks. Once our IT systems are stable we believe that banks will be keen to offer Smart ID cards and passport services in their branches,” he said
