Almost 2 months after its ban on SA arrivals, United Arab Emirates have reopened to SA travelers. The UAE will now allow SA travelers to enter from Saturday 29 January. Flights will operate daily between Dubai and SA.

United Arab Emirates Lifts Its Ban On South African Travelers this weekend. The UAE was one of the many countries who restricted South African travelers from entering the country at the end of November 2021

This happened after the scientists discovered Omicron variant in South Africa. The travelling passengers still need to obtain a negative covid-19 PCR test 48 hours prior to departure. 

Details on possible quarantine requirements have not been released yet.
