Police have made a rather swift arrest in connection to the Free State farm shooting in free state that left seven farm workers killed. Two suspects were arrested Saturday afternoon, seven bodies were discovered by a farm owner, six women and a young man were found inside a house at Lismore farm on Friday.
It’s understood that the victims were a 17-year-old boy and six women between the ages of 22 and 53 years old were shot several times. Free State police spokesperson Sam Makhele said a police investigating team followed intelligence driven information, which led to two suspect arrests in no time. Police recovered two firearms, a shotgun, and a pellet gun, which they are investigating possibility into whether one of the weapons was used to commit the murders.
The public has sent out their gratitude the the SAPS for quick response to the cases, linking it to the seven arrest made in Alexandra after a shooting spree Thursday night.
