Another shooting spring in Thembelihle informal settlement Lenasia, where five people reported dead and two others seriously injured. This comes after a gunmen was reported to have randomly fired at people on the streets.

Johannesburg police are on the hunt for a suspect, two days after a mass shooting spree report in Alex and a day after police made seven arrests. Community members are rafled by this incident as its only a week since the first reports of random mass shootings. It has not yet been revealed if the shooter was on foot or using a vehicle, and if there were more than one shooter.

Minister Bheki Cele during his briefing in Alex with the taxi drivers, said such killings will not go unpunished and an investigation will be opened to determine if all the shootings are linked.
