Romelu Lukaku is set to join Chelsea on a record fee of €115m from Inter Milan. The club is offering the player a long term contract.

The striker was seen leaving Milan airport today to London by Skysports news. The rumours of the player joining Chelsea have been making rounds on Twitter for the whole week. The rumors were also posted by former player Didier Drogba.

Lukaku played for Chelsea in the 2011 season after a successful spell and was loaned to numerous teams in England. In 2014 Lukaku signed a five-year contract with Everton after a brilliant performance from the striker in the previous season. He then joined Manchester United on 10 July 2017. After two seasons he joined inter Milan on a club-record fee of €80 million.

Lukaku in 2014 was named one of the the most promising young players in Europe by The Guardian. Lukaku’s  in an interview with ESPN in 2016 said Didier Drogba and Nicholas Anelka are the two players that made him want to play for Chelsea.

But he highly praised Cristiano Ronaldo with a million-dollar smile he said “Ronaldo changed football. He is the one you would look at and you would see him doing step overs and think: ‘Who does this?’ You would see the defenders falling over and you be like: ‘Wow.’ The goals that he scored, and at crucial times. He scored goals were you will be like: ‘Oh man, this is not serious.'”

More information to be announced during the week by both teams and Lukaku representatives.
