The Community Police Forum is requesting that the public halt from spreading false information that will bring about a strike alleged to take place Friday 10 June 2021. A message of a national shut down is being spread out, threatening a national shut down this coming Friday.

The public has spread the message far and wide, stating that during the course of this national shut down, no school will take place, no public transport will be made available and no petrol station will operate. However the CPF says they are working with police to validate the news but request that the public stop from sending out information that may lead to unlawful acts.

Taxi associations, have denied taking part in the shut down and say they will operate as per usual and are not in support of the shut down being sent around. Other people are also requesting that members use social media for significant course and not to start fire with using social media to fast track false news.
