A 35-year-old woman, Singwa Namhla Mtwa was allegedly shot 9 times by an unknown man in her driveway at her home Sdwadwa view in Mthatha on the 21 April 2022. It is alleged that she was in an abusive relationship with a well-known business man from Mthatha, Major Bhekizulu who was charged with premeditated murder and attempted murder in 2018.

It’s also alleged that she was killed because she was trying to leave the relationship. A case was opened the day after the incident and the police only came for a statement but no arrests have been made.

“After the day my sister got shot in that Grey Polo AVIS car, an unknown man came without a name tag or even anything to write on and said he was sent by Bhekizulu to fetch the car because he reported it as a hijacking. How is it a hijacking when they didn’t even take the car or a phone,” said Sanga Nozintaba

Sanga, her sister took it to social media to ask people to help her share Singwa’s story so that she can get justice. Pictures of her bruises and conversations between Singwa and Major are making rounds on twitter and Facebook.
