Sibusiso Mbonani (born 9 September 1998) is a South African soccer player who plays as a central midfielder at Polokwane City in the GladAfrica Championship.
His life is indeed an epitome of success. At such a young age, he has achieved so much that leaves many young people in admiration. The 22-year-old is blessed with fantastic skills on the field, which can steal the hearts of many football lovers.
Despite being young, he has soared high in his career, which is quite evident through his various achievements. He is currently in the books of Polokwane City, but he has previously played for Free State Stars MDC team, Tshakuma Tsha Madvivhandila FC and JDR Stars in the GladAfrica Championship.
The former JDR Stars midfielder said he knows what he must do, the things he needs to improve in his game to be more decisive. “Consistency is key. I have to maintain consistency as much as I can, in order to play every game and add value on the team” noted Sibusiso Mbonani.
“And that is because, when you do that, the world notices you. The right people take full notice of you, too. And there is no reason why I cannot use this opportunity as a learning curve and better myself as a player. That is how you open bigger doors for yourself” said Sibusiso Mbonani.
The Bronkhorstspruit born midfield believes that everything is possible and if he wants to be in Bafana Bafana squad that would mean going an extra mile and start making an impact. “I want to play overseas, that is my ultimate goal. I would be delighted to play for Bafana Bafana. I will wait for my chance. I know it may take time for me to be there but eventually I will be part of the team,” noted Mbonani.
According to Sibusiso Mbonani the biggest challenge when you are a youngster is money, but he urges other youngsters not to let the issue of money to discourage them or make them throw away the great talent that God has entrusted them with. He said what they have to do is to apply what they have been learning all these years and then they will succeed.
