National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) South Gauteng spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwane confirmed that Mangaliso Ngema was released on bail after being arrested for rape. Ngema was released on R5000  bail after his sister Queen Ngema opened a rape case at the Sandton Police Station.

Sister to actor Mangaliso Ngema, opened a case of rape against his brother who she says has been sexually abusing her for years. Ngema was arrested and the sister has since moved out of the house. Queen was requested moved in with the actor to heal after she lost her child in a car accident. She alleges Ngema repeatedly raped her for years, and this all happened whenever his wife was out of the country.

This is not the first time Ngema has rape on his name. He was accused of rape from actress Lorraine Moropa who was his co-cast on Lithapo, about to years ago. Ngema sued the actress for defamation of character. The Actor will make an appearance again on 04 August 2022, to possibly to apply for plea.
