Rustenburg: A 24-year-old man killed his mother when a fight broke out. The man allegedly stabbed his mother a few times during a fight on Monday afternoon. He then followed by drinking her blood, this took place in Mathopestad, North West.

The initial information indicated that the police were led to believe that the two were in an altercation, the son Thabang Mishack Moswane and his mother 53-year-old Kedisaletse Elizabeth Moswane. When the police arrived at the scene of the crime, they found Kedisaletse’s body inside their shack, with a number of stab wounds. The police were informed that Thabang was seen drinking her blood after stabbing her to death. He was then arrested for murder. He appeared at the Koster Magistrate’s court earlier today,and his case was postponed to the 16th of May.

“The North West provincial police commissioner Lieutenant-General Sello Kwena was shocked to learn about the horrific incident and reiterated that police will continue to work hard to ensure that those who perpetrate crimes against women and children are brought to book” Colonel Adele Myburgh the North West police spokesperson said.
