Former EFF Secretary General Godrich Gardee’s daughter Hillary Gardee, was unfortunately found dead outside Nelspruit Mpumalanga, after she was reported missing since Friday 29 April by the whole of EFF leadership.

The news was confirmed through a statement typed out by the political party, the death has brought great heartbreak to the Gardee family, including the EFF as a collective. The 28 year old Nigerian born Hillary, was the first daughter of Commissar Gardee who grew to be a family member under the EFF umbrella. Her death touched the leadership of the party as she was like a daughter to them.

Hillary was a mother to an adopted three year old who was spared when the abduction took place. Cause of death have not been shared with the media as of yet, but described her death as cruel and inhumane. The party on behalf of the family, thanks the public for helping in the search of Hillary, and also ask that the media and public provide the Gardee family space and time to grieve for their daughter.

The EFF has pledged to offer a helping hand to the family leading to the funeral preparations and that any enquiries should be directed to the political party.
