Chuena victimized by Bouncers for wanting to use female’s bathroomin Cape Town Boho Chic Lounge on the 01 January 2022.

Chuena is an openly gay queer, experienced influencer, content creator, campaign manager and corporate MC.  He took it to twitter weeks after the incident transpired and wrote a thread detailing what really happened, and that he also contacted Boho wanting to address the situation, but they never got back to him.

He wrote “the homophobia received in Cape Town Boho chic lounge on the 1st of January 2022 by a bouncer who was verbally attacking me for wanting to use the lady’s bathroom.”

While others were on his defense saying “Chuenza is allowed to feel unsafe and uncomfortable using the men’s.”

Meanwhile others backlashed him saying “it’s unfortunate that you speak about the discomfort that comes with having to use a male bathroom as a queer person, but you don’t want to acknowledge the females who are expressing their discomfort with you using the female bathroom. Like why should it only be about you.”

People say their concern is about the sexual harassments that happen across South Africa and the divided understanding and compassion of those that are straight while they have to be understanding and respectful of gay individuals.
