Chelsea started their season opener against Crystal palace with an overwhelming 3 – 0 win at Stanford bridge, they continued their good run of results after their win midweek in a UEFA super cup clash against villarreal.
Chelsea scored their first goal through Marcus Alonso free kick in the 27th minute. They continued with their attack minded football, five minutes before half time break Christian Pulisic scored the second goal for the blues to ensure they go into the break with a great lead.
Chelsea continued where they left off in the second half as Crystal Palace didn’t pose any threat. The debutant, product of Chelsea academy Trevoh Chalobah screwed the last nail on Crystal Palace’s coffin in the 58th minute of the game.
Chelsea walked away with a convincing winning and good goal difference heading into the second game of the English Premier League against Arsenal next week.
