The luck of BBM for free has come to an end. DSTV has announced that channel 198 was only opened for a week to give Mzansi a glimpse of how entertaining BBM is.
For those who are paying the R115 package they have been cut off by multichoice. It has appeared that the Big Brother Mzansi TV show has become one of the most watched TV shows in South Africa.
Most viewers watch the show because of some features that includes shower hour and weekend gigs where Big Brother bring Celebrities to entertain them.
Multichoice has written a statement on Face Book announcing : “channel 198 is available from DSTV compact, it was opened to access for a week. Big Brother Mzansi is exclusive to DSTV Compact package R409 pm.”
The fans have tweeted their frustrations and started a hashtag #bringbackchannel198 and many people have participated as it is trending.
TeamNaleBBm tweeted “people did not choose not to be on Compact, they simply cannot afford to upgrade.’’
TheZarBillion tweeted “if they can open Big Brother Naija to any dstv customer what is stopping them to open #BigBrotherMzansi to everyone regardless of your subscription package use this hashtag #bringbackchannel198.”
It seems BBM will be losing viewers due to the DSTV announcement that left everyone angry and people are not willing to upgrade.
