The Norwegian manager signs his new deal with Manchester United. A deal that will keep him at old trafford at least until 2024 with an option to extend for one year. Ole came to Manchester United as a caretaker manager after the team parted ways with Jose Mourinho when the team was facing performance difficulties in 2018.

He took over the first match against his old team Cardiff City FC on the 22 December 2015. Manchester United scored 5 goals and this was the first time Manchester United scored 5 goals on a Premier League match since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson. He continued to break number of club records on the first season of management career at old trafford.

After qualifying, for the Europa League, Ole won 14 of his 19 games as a manager, he signed his first contract with the team as a manager on 28 March 2019. Man United was able to reach three semi-finals, unfortunately, they couldn’t win against their opponents.

Ole responded to his new deal with the club with a smile, and he told Man united editorial team that
“Of course it’s exciting. I’m very happy to be trusted to be a part of it. For me there are loads of things in the offing, I think we’re looking at plans for training grounds, we’re planning of course for work at Old Trafford and you want to be part of that. The last few years we’ve improved, and we just want to take the next step.”

He added by saying “Of course. I wouldn’t have accepted it otherwise, and I would stand down. But no, I’m really looking forward to it. The staff is amazing, you look forward to coming into work every morning. I’m an early starter but many of them are already there when I arrive, and they challenge each other. It’s a very good working relationship we all have and of course the players have bought into our ideas and I think they’ve shown a great attitude to improve and learn and that’s key. You have to get the buy-in from the players, and they are ready now for the next step.”
