Enyobeni Tavern witnesses, allege the cause of death is due to a pepper spray used which resulted to suffocation. During the course of the day after a visit from Police Minister Bheki Cele, news of a pepper spray being used were making the rounds, with also many stories about an explosive, a stampede and also possible poisoning of drinks.
On a live interview with a media house, the tavern owner Siyakhangela Ngevu said he was not present when all took place, but upon receiving a call from one of the security guards, he arrived to find the area packed to a brim with underaged teens who were trying to force themselves in the gate and in the building. His comment left many furious as to how and why would he allow underage drinking.
However on the other hand, many are saying at this point everyone is to blame as it is no secrete that the generation of today start drinking and going to such environments which they mostly directed the blame to parents who should have checked on their children and prevented their outing, linking it to a previous scenario where a mother in pyjamas, who went and dragged her underaged daughter from a tarven, a video that went viral. Many are sending respect to her and requesting that parents to underaged children do the same from now on.
You all had a debate a few weeks ago, accusing this woman of being a bad mother for picking up her underage child from the groove. The same people are asking "Where were the parents?" today because the majority of kids who passed on ko East London are underage. 🫠🫠 pic.twitter.com/R7rjGiHtOf
