“Flutter is an open-source UI software development kit created by Google. It is used to develop cross platform applications for Android, iOS, Linux, Mac, Windows, Google Fuchsia, and the web from a single codebase and Java is a high-level, class-based, object-oriented programming language that is designed to have as few implementation dependencies as possible.”
An argument that required experienced Flutter and Java developers was raised between the technological minds as to wheather the newly most favourable open source development kit flutter can replace the highly rated Java as the main tech used to develop android applications.
Most programmers argued that it is not possible for Flutter to replace Java as the main app development technology. “If you look at traditional android development, it is much easier for a native android developer to move to React Native than Flutter.” said an Indian programmer, Sumanta Banerjee.
He continued to say that even though we all know Flutter is backed by the power house Google, that does not mean it cannot ever fail. A lot of google products have failed.
“Flutter uses a unique language for its development. God knows why they had to select Dart which nobody ever heard about instead of something simple like JavaScript or Kotlin.”
The tech marketer and online business consultant, Ritesh said that Google Flutter has many lacunae and lots of development is needed. Currently, it is not possible for Flutter to replace Java for Android app development. However, this new IDE has lots of potential, especially with the upcoming Fuchsia Operating System.
Some native programmers said they have been in the industry for a long time but have never heard of flutter which is strange as this technology is highly used for development of lots of good applications lately.
Based on all said by the programmers one can still confidently say the mighty Java cannot be replaced any time soon as it still rules the world mobile development of used applications.
