Five people were entrapped in a taxi vehicle that was involved in a collision in the afternoon, police and paramedics are on site for rescue.

Passengers who happen to have been trapped in a taxi that collided with a truck have been evacuated and taken to hospital for treatment. Paramedics along with the Germiston SAPS attended to the scene of five entrapped passengers.

The accident happened on the T-junction point in Germiston near the tiger brand offices, not far from the taxi rank. Motorists are adviced to opt for other alternative routes as the scene is being cleared off.

The health status has not yet been confirmed by the paramedics to the media. No fatalities have been reported yet, the truck is believed to be a delivery truck and the taxi was beyond destroyed as it got under the truck.
