Scammed at an ATM? Here’s what to do

ATM Fraud

For any bank or ATM fraud activity, the bank is obliged to return your money. Countless reports of ATM scams are still being experienced, with victims having their cards swallowed and money jammed, not forgetting getting notifications of money being withdrawn.

There are a number of scams done using the bank, both from inside and outside of the bank. Identity theft through the bank is also a factor. Clients are having their identity stolen, fraudsters take up loans and purchase with a huge lumpsum, leaving victims with payments they know nothing of.

Victims of any fraud are advised to immediately contact the bank to block the card. The bank will advice you to visit your nearest bank to receive a new card. In a while the bank should repay you the money you lost. Unfortunately with the paying back part, many victims are still crying, claiming the bank has not reimbursed their lost finances.

Fraud Victims are advised to take note on how they think it might have happened, calm down and make the call. Keep your information to yourself as the bank will not ask you to confirm your password and valuable identity information such as ID number, bank balance.
