Dmitry Peskov, Kremlin spokesperson has reported Russia’s president Vladimir Putin, plans to hold his traditional annual “direct line” news conference with the Russian public this year. Peskov however did not indicate when it would take place, but said “preliminary preparations were under way”, according to Russian state news agency Tass.
According to Tass, last year 30 June 2021 news conference, is said to have lasted for almost four hours long, with President Putin having answered 70 questions, .The news conference usually lasts for hours and only gets broadcasted by major state TV channels. This conference is one that everybody looks forward to, the event that allows people from across the country to question the Russian president and e needs to answer to them.
