Khayalethu Magadla’s father Kholekile Magadla, conveyed his disappointment after the city of Johannesburg EMS has called off the search. He says rescue teams must find the body of his son in doing a thorough search.
The 6 year old boy has been missing since Sunday 12 June 2022, after falling into a manhole at a park where he was playing with other children. His parents are calling on EMS to find his body or even his clothes for closure. The manhole where he fell has since been concealed, and the family say they have been living in a nightmare since.
EMS have been undergoing a search for the body and due to no trace, the search has been called off. The public has taken to their social media, to portray their condolences and prayer for the boy and the family, they have also advised the family to consult with a seer or sangoma. Others are saying police and the family should look into other options such as kidnapping and to question the kids once again.
As the public debate back and forth about the matter, they are also requesting that EMS respond as to why it took them such a long time to start the search and if the possibility of him floating beyond the area mentioned, is possible.
