The Economic Freedom Fighters are saddened by the passing of a member Gift Malope who was abducted at her home in Kgaphamadi Village around May, and her body was found 27 June from a mine shaft in Benoni.

The party’s Limpopo branch issued out a statement to express their devastation after coming to earn f the passing of one of their own. 31 year old Malope’s body was retrieved by police at a mine shaft in Benoni Gauteng, they are calling for end of Gender Based violence against women. Investigations to find what the cause of death is.

Another body was retrieved from the same mine, however no identification. Malope was kidnapped and violently placed into the boot of a white Honda sedan by two suspect. She was then later found lifeless at a mine shaft, far from where she was abducted. “Gender Based Violence and Femicide has again robbed us of an ambitious and goal driven young woman.” said the EFF

The party send their heartfelt condolences to the family and calls on the justice system to act as an example towards the suspects.
