After a Risk Manager of a bank in Polokwane was allegedly rescued from a kidnapping scenario, two suspects will make a court appearance at the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court in Limpopo on Monday, facing charges of abduction, extortion and attempted murder.

Police spokesperson Motlafela Mojapelo informed the media on the arrest of two suspects who kidnapped a bank manager who was jogging on Sunday morning when two cars creeped up to him, called his family demanding a ransom for his release.

“Two suspects were arrested in a well-coordinated operation by police in the Westernburg policing area outside Polokwane after the risk bank manager was allegedly abducted and ransom demanded. The victim was rescued by police after a car chase and a shootout with the suspect. Other suspects fled in another vehicle,” says Mojapelo.

The rescuing was relatable to how rescues are played out on movies. The money was dropped off at the agreed point, the kidnappers took the money and fled, without dropping bank manager as agreed. Police had to go on a chase and a shootout style as done on he movies, however the two suspects were at last arrested and the hostage rescued.
