Sibusiso Sibanyoni taking the body positivity movement to new heights with his Plus size models agency. For years, plus size-women have been trying to conform to a narrow set of beauty standards, where cellulite, lumps, bumps, extra curves, and stretch marks do not exist and are regarded as imperfections.

Not only is Sibanyoni a photographer but he’s also known as being an advocate for body positivity and female empowerment. He has chosen to use his photography talent and skill, to embrace and showcase full-figured models in all of their glory as well as empower them.

The 26-year-old is the founder of Plus Size Models RSA, which aims to help women embrace their curves and to also put them in the spotlight, for them to gain recognition. Sibanyoni is challenging societal beauty stereotypes whilst championing body confidence.

Sibanyoni started the initiative in 2017, after he felt the representation of real beauty was lacking, and that plus-size women were not given the recognition they deserve and concluded they were not appreciated enough.

Sibusiso aims to create opportunities in the media industry that will let plus size women have a voice for he believes that those having a voice will spread positive outcome within plus-size communities.

The purpose of his agency is to fight “fat-phobia” and encourage full-figured women to love and embrace their curves and to also break out from their comfort zone by living their lives to the fullest, also changing how society perceives plus-size women.

With over 23 million views and 57 000 subscribers on YouTube, with 293 000 followers on Facebook, he introduces the world to body positivity and self-love. It is with no doubt that Sibusiso is taking the body positivity movement to greater heights.

In the past four years, Sibusiso Sibanyoni’s initiative has helped thousands and thousands of plus size women find their inner confidence and appreciate their bodies, as well as being comfortable in their own skin. He continues to do that with every post, every tweet, every video and every photoshoot.
