Premier of Gauteng David Makhura confirmed another shooting that transpired last night at Motsoaledi informal settlement behind Devland in Soweto, where it is alleged seven people were injured and one critically ill as a result of the shooting spree.

On Saturday night prior to the Motsoaledi shooting, a report was brought up for a shooting that took place in Lanasia at Thembelihle information settlement, where four were killed and two injured.

During Jessie Duarte’s funeral proceedings, Makhura said safety was one of Duarte’s primary priority and with the mass shootings the country has witnessed, they plan to maximize security and bring all suspect to book and behind bars. In Alexandra, eighth suspect has been arrested for the shooting that transpired Thursday night.
