They say patience is a virtue and dedication plus hard work will go a long way. After a number of nominations, Sarah Maboa managed to ace one in the bag.
Not so long ago an article on all her awards and nominations were published by Africa Newz and the best new artist Pheli award nomination was one of them. The love and support she gets from family and friends in which also includes her fans, turned a nomination into a win.
It is hard for local artist to get recognition in the music industry, let alone in their communities but Maboa is one that fought hard for recognition and managed to win over the hearts of her local fans with her gospel music. Gospel is a loved genre but in today’s world and its youth, other genres are dominating making it hard for local gospel artists to get their music out there.
Maboa has for years been a gospel star and as of now her work has resulted in her being a multi award winner. The recent one she got from Pheli awards for Best New Artist, pleased her manager Petrus August so much that he took to his personal Facebook account to celebrate his artist. He furthermore sent out his appreciation to Lerato Mohale who designed and made the dress Maboa wore at the event.

Maboa’s fans have also congratulated her on her win and send out wishes for more winnings. It can be said that Maboa may have quite a following in her community and great support from them, now all that’s left is for everyone to wait for her to grow in the industry and bag more awards.
