Lori Harvey posted a video on her TikTok answering the question of how she got her abs. she spoke about how she began her work out routine after she gained 15 pounds. However, her routine had TikTok and Twitter raising eyebrows.
In her video Lori said that at the beginning of her relationship with Micheal B Jordan she gained 15 pounds. She started her routine when her clothes wouldn’t fit, she said the key to dropping the 15 pounds was doing Pilates for the last year more consistently even though she had been doing it for years. “When I was trying to drop weight, I was working out like 5,6 times a week, and I would even do, for the first month and a half, I would do two a days” she said.
@ToyaRochelle tweeted “Lori Harvey getting on TikTok saying she ate 1200 calories a day and worked out twice a day just because she gained 15 pounds…Weight loss culture is crazy”. This sparked conversations as some people thought that 1200 calories are enough for a grown woman while others thought it was not enough for one to live a productive life.
Her workout routine had many women saying that they would never get a body like her as they don’t have the time to follow her routine. In a comment on her video, she said before people come for her “this is what worked for me and My body. Everyone is different so tailor to your needs to meet your goals”.
