The two-night documentary features Mariah Carey, Missy Elliot. Paula Abdul, and more, in the teaser clip, her fellow friends and celebrities such as Mariah Carey and Paula Abdul appear in the teaser talking about their relationship with the star and how iconic she is. Mariah Carey is heard in the clip speaking about how Janet is an empowered woman and Paula adding to that by saying Janet is a force to be reckoned with.
The documentary is a four-hour documentary that documents her life, from the losses she has experienced, including the loss of her father, Joseph, who passed away in 2018, and also the most important moments in her life and music career
“This is my story told by me, not through someone else’s eyes,” Jackson says in the clip
The documentary will be premiering in January 2022 in celebration of the 40th anniversary of her first album titled “Janet Jackson” an album released when she was just 15 years old.
