The four suspects, who allegedly killed the 78-year-old, were arrested on Wednesday. His body was discovered in a shallow grave in Cresta, Johannesburg, Gauteng.The suspects appeared in court early today, at Randburg Magistrate Court.
The 78-year-old was reported missing by his tenant on the 16th of April, after not seeing his landlord for a few days. His body was found in a shallow grave in his backyard on Tuesday.The suspects are a gardener, a domestic worker and two other males, there are Micheal Chimangweni, Amos Tembo, Ronald Chickwoza and Juliana Chimsmgani.
All the accused were employed by the victim. They were charged with Kidnapping, murder and defeating the ends of justice. The magistrate Hleziphi Mkhasibe, at Randburg Magistrate Court moved the case to Friday,
this was done to ensure that there will be a translator in the court for the accused. “the accused will appear tomorrow as a translator will be present to ensure that all court proceeding are understood by suspects” said Mkhasibe . All four suspects will remain in police custody, as they await to go to court again on Friday.
