Richard Bay High school learners were rushed to the hospital on suspect of gas leak in KwaZulu Natal on Monday morning.
Emergency services were called on scene when the learners experienced sever health conditions happening in a shocking instant manner of learners vomitting, collapsing and having loss of breath. 40 learners were rushed to hospital on suspect of gas leak.
Shawn Herbst of the Netcare emergency response, say when they attended to the call, the scene was as described telephonically managing to revive many while rushing the rest to the hospital. He further made claims on how they have received calls of similar cases in and around the area of Richard Bay, suggesting the leak may be transferred to the direction of the town by the wind.
Reports on where the gas is leaked from is still unknown. The current state of the 40 learners is still yet to be released, along with a statement from the school and medical team who attended to the learners
